Looks like Windows 8 will finally attract more customers
since more popular app makers are bringing out Windows 8 compatible app versions,
which blend well with the distinct touch-friendly user interface of the
operating system. The latest to join the bandwagon is Shuttersong, which is a
popular app for creating 15 seconds of voice, music or sound into any digital
photo and then sharing it to the public using email and social media. Earlier
restricted to just the iOS market, the latest news will put a new feather to
the list of Windows 8 features.
Windows users can download and use this app on all Windows 8
PCs, tablets, All-in-Ones and more. The wide list of features is owing to the
fact that Microsoft itself worked closely along with the app maker in order to
completely redesign the app to suite Windows 8. It is now available for
download in the Windows Store.
Since Shuttersong has been successful in all prior operating
systems, it will not come as a surprise to know that this app is successful in
Windows 8 as well. Taking cue from the various Windows 8 features that these
devices are capable of, Shuttersong includes system wide gestures for playing
music and playing Shuttersongs. It has also managed to bring in an intuitive
wordless design that is positioned to thrive in Windows where social content
and sharing photos are key features of the operating system itself.
Thanks to the excellent quality camera in Windows 8 devices,
most users will be hooked to this app in no time. To top that, Windows 8 users
can effortlessly access their entire photo library on their devices or over the
cloud and create Shuttersong images in a jiffy.
Shuttersong founder and CEO, William Agush said, “Windows 8
makes for a perfect landscape for Shuttersong – beautifully meshing imagery,
sound and touch, and putting creativity into the hands of millions of new
users. This is a major step forward for Shuttersong as we expand our user base.
We're excited to see what Windows 8 users can create with their photos and
music libraries.”
Todd Brix, General Manager, Windows Apps and Store,
Microsoft Corp,
retorted, “Apps really come to life on Windows, Shuttersong takes advantage of
Windows through features like snap and share charm integration, and makes it
easy to share experiences via many social networks through the Windows 8
interface.”
