Combine AT&T Yahoo Email With Outlook

Did you know that you could have Outlook support AT&T Yahoo mail? That’s right you could configure your Outlook account send and receive AT&T Yahoo emails. Therefore, it’s like accessing your AT&T Yahoo account right from Outlook. This makes for easy management of email and quicker access. This is because Outlook supports popular email formats like POP3 and SMTP. The following instructions should help you configure Outlook to AT&T Yahoo account.

Instructions

  • Open the Outlook application and click on the File option on the top menu bar in the window. Select the Info option and click on Account Settings.
  • Click on the New button.
  • Here you will notice an option to manually configure the server setting labeled as Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Click it, and then click Next.
  • Chose Internet E-mail and select Next.
  • In the respective fields type in your name and your AT&T Yahoo email address.
  • In the drop down menu Account Type select POP3. Now your server uses the POP3 protocol.
  • In the Incoming mail server field enter pop.att.Yahoo.com, while in the Outgoing mail server field you must type in smtp.att.Yahoo.com.
  • In the User Name field type in your fill AT&T Yahoo email address accurately and type in the account password in the Password field, adjacent to the username field. Now if you are the only person who accesses the Outlook account then you may check the Remember Password checkbox. By doing this you no longer have to type in the password every time that Outlook tries to connect to your AT&T Yahoo email account.
  • Click on the More Setting button, and choose the tab labeled Outgoing Server.
  • Place a check mark in the box labeled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  • Now choose the Advanced tab, and type 995 into the Incoming Server field. Also place a checkmark in the box labeled This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
  • In the Outgoing Server field type 465. From the drop-down menu, select the SSL option.
  • Click Ok, then Next, then Finish. Confirm your settings and complete the setup procedure.

Your Outlook program now can connect to your AT&T Yahoo mail account, and help you access messages there.
